Jakarta City Council's Commission E Member, Yudha Permana, encouraged Jakarta Cultural Agency to provide art stage that can be enjoyed everyday. Then he also suggested a souvenir centers that sell typical products of Jakarta.

Hopefully it can be realized in the near time

Yudha admitted that Jakarta is still missing the art stages or souvenir centers that become the city icon.

"I will continue to remind this until it actually happens. Hopefully it can be realized in the near time," he said, Monday (5/19).

He hopes that the Jakarta Provincial Government will soon build an arts and culture ecosystem that can be widely accessed by the public. Art performances, Yudha continued, can be a place for collaboration between artists from the urban villages to the city level who are members of art studios.

"There must be center of the arts. It means the artists in Jakarta can dream of performing on the city's cultural icon main stage," he added.

For the example, Yudha explained, there are Broadway in New York and Saung Angklung Udjo in Bandung. Both are successful forms of art ecosystems. He also mentioned the Kecak dance in Bali that is supported fully with a good art ecosystem.

"Let's imagine if we can watch an art performance in the evening after going around Monas, TIM, or Kota Tua. We have millions of students from elementary schools to college in Jabodetabek if we need more audiences," he stated.
